Downtown Tulsa Portrait Photography

I have been loving shooting in downtown Tulsa lately. Downtown has transformed the past few years and I am using it to my advantage for my people and pet photography.  There are so many interesting historic buildings and churches, colorful scenes, not to mention, we have a beautiful skyline. Whether it be and urban or rural setting, I always scope out specific places for my sessions that are tailored to that specific client. For Jennifer and Avery, they needed their annual fall family portraits and I knew they would be dressed up, so I took them to places to complement their amazing outfits. Jennifer and Avery looked amazing and it was so fun photographing them!

As always with portrait photography, more importantly than the place I am taking you to, I am always making sure three things fall into place…focus, exposure and lighting, in that order. If you enjoyed this session and blog and would like to contact me about a session, click here.

At our first stop, I had been mesmerized by the evening light at this specific corner and knew I wanted to take them there. When we arrived, I knew an “artistic” shot was the way to go as opposed to a traditional posed portrait. I was in love with the way they turned out.Blog 1Blog 2

At our second location, I chose a beautiful neutral church where the colors were a perfect backdrop for their dresses and vibrant personalities.Fasll Family PhotographyBlog 5Blog 6Blog 4Blog 3
